WOD: Strength Cycle Week 0 Day 3

Ok, gonna skip posting all the warm-up sets and what not. I’m still keeping track of them if ya’ll want to see it, but they just make the posts too long.

Week 0 Day 3

Warm-up: Light jump rope, pre-hab/mobility/stretching

Bench Press

2 x 5, 1 x 12 @ 100#

Seated DB Curls

2 x 30 (alternating arms) @ 25# each arm

Overhead Squats (practice)

3 x 3 @ 55# 

Hang Power Snatch (practice)

3 x 3 @ 95#

Back Squat

2 x 5, 1 x 9 @ 160#

Notes:

The OHS and Snatches were a fun way to warm up the back squat. I’ve been incorporating them into my workouts for the last couple years, but with less than ideal form. I had a post workout session with my coach and we worked on some better mechanics that I’ll need to work on to get the muscle memory in place.

I took video on this one, but there’s no need to post it this round.
